FTDM welcomes TV-film directors

TCU alum Kara Harshbarger and husband, Rusty Mahmood, to give public talk

The Department of Film, Television, and Digital Media (FTDM) welcomes guest speakers Rusty Mahmood, first assistant director of the hit NBC-TV show The Office and writer-director Kara Harshbarger (TCU FTDM 1996), to campus Oct. 30 – Nov. 2. Mahmood and Harshbarger will give a public lecture on Monday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Moudy South, room 164.  The event is free and open to the public.

 

Recently, Mahmood has been working on The Office as well as working on production crews for films such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.  Harshbarger is best known for writing and directing the feature film, A Little Inside.
