The Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology will host a Green Chair lecture at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 in Palko Hall, rm. 130. Speaker is Dr. Laura Hobgood-Oster, chair and professor of Religion and Environmental Studies at Southwestern University. She is the author of Holy Dogs and Asses: Animals in the Christian Tradition; The Friends We Keep: Unleashing Christianity’s Compassion for Animals; and A Dog’s History of the World: Canines and the Domestication of Humans (due out Spring 2014).
