Deans' Award winners announced at Commencement

Winners of the 2013 Deans' Awards for Teaching and for Research and Creative Activity were announced at the Commencement ceremony Saturday. Each recipient receives $2,500.

Awardees in the Teaching category were Gregory Mansur (Film, TV & Digital Media), Lewis Glaser (School of Art) and Rob Garnett (Economics). Other nominees were Nancy Nix (Information Systems and Supply Chain Management), Amber Esping ( Education), Diane Hawley (Nursing), Mark Dennis (Religion) and John Horner (Biology).

Winners in the area of Research and Creativity were Paul Schrodt (Communication Studies), Jan Lacina (Education) and Meena Shah (Kinesiology). Also nominated were Robert Leone (Marketing), Michael Heil (Theatre), Rebecca Sharpless (History & Geography), Daniel Gil (English) and Onofrio Annunziata (Chemistry).

At Brite Divinity School, Stephen V. Sprinkle was named recipient of the $3,000 Brittan Teaching Award. Namsoon King and Lance Pape received the Hill Faculty Excellence Award.
