Veterans Day Observance Nov. 11
Published: 11/2/2009

Inclusiveness and Intercultural Services has announced initiatives to mark Veterans Day on Nov. 11. They include:

11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Air Force Honor Guard will present the colors at the Inclusiveness Luncheon in the BLUU ballroom. Students from Air Force and Army ROTC will be luncheon guests, while a student panel has been asked to discuss their challenges, opportunities and experiences at TCU.

1 - 3 p.m. Army and Air Force ROTC, Navy and Veterans will man information tables in the BLUU first floor lobby. Yellow ribbons will be available to wear, highlighting TCU?s designation as a Yellow Ribbon School since passage of the new post 9/11 GI Bill. The University also is designated a "Military Friendly" school by military.com and GIJobs.com.

A Wall of Honor will be available in the lobby area so that faculty, staff and students who are veterans may post their own photos and the TCU community may leave messages on the wall for veterans.

Brad Thompson (University Union) is obtaining small flags to be passed out on Veterans Day. For more information, contact April E. Brown (inclusiveness and intercultural services) at a.e.brown3@tcu.edu.
