Dr. Manochehr Dorraj, political science professor

Manochehr Dorraj (political science) will discuss his current research at “FacultySpeak” today, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m. in the Library conference room. The title of his talk is “Iran after the Disputed Presidential Election of 2009.”

 

A frequent commentator on global and Middle Eastern affairs, he earned his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas/Austin and has taught at TCU since 1990.

 

Friends of the TCU Library sponsor a “FacultySpeak” event each semester as an opportunity to learn more about TCU faculty research. Light refreshments will be served.

 

Dr. Dorraj has earned many teaching awards while at TCU, including “The Most Inspiring Professor” award from Panhellenic Council in 2004; “Distinguished Teaching and Service” in 2000 and 2002; “Professor of the Year,” Student House of Representatives in 1998; Mortar Board Preferred Professor for six years; finalist for Wassenich Award for Mentoring in 1999.
