Contributions to this year’s United Way campus campaign total $126,734.10 in pledges from 735 donors.  And donations are continuing to trickle in, according to Nancy Styles (marketing and communication), campaign coordinator.  The total is approximately 10.20% over the announced $115,000 goal.

“I’m proud of our Horned Frog community and the fact that we exceeded our goal despite the continued economic downturn,” said Dr. Phil Hartman (biology), and the University’s United Way Campaign chair.  “This affirms that we are a caring group who does a lot more than merely work at TCU.  A huge ‘thank you’ for your contributions.  It was great to see Fort Worth turn out for our gridiron Frogs last Saturday; it is equally gratifying to see Frog faculty and staff tangibly support Tarrant County through the United Way.”

Nancy also notes that $10,175 of the total was received from 42 retired faculty and staff which is an increase from past years.
