Are you a summer camper at heart? Here's another chance!
Published: 3/15/2013

Student Development Services is making plans for a full summer of Frog Camps to welcome TCU’s Class of 2014. To that end, they have extended an invitation to faculty and staff who are interested in becoming a volunteer partner for a new crop of freshman campers.

Frog Camp is a three-to-eight-day experiential retreat program designed to transition new students into the TCU culture, ethos, and community. Faculty and staff volunteers are an important part of this process, giving their time and energy to welcome ncoming first-year and transfer students to the University. Over the last 16 years, faculty and staff from across campus have climbed on challenge courses, painted homes, line danced at Billy Bob’s, whitewater rafted, talked one-on-one with students, played, worked, and roasted marshmallows, all to help new students begin the process of succeeding at TCU.

If you are interested in serving as a faculty/staff partner for Frog Camp, or would like more information about the program, please visit  www.frogcamp.tcu.edu/faculty.asp Camp placement will begin mid-April and continue through the summer.

You can participate in one or more camps over the course of the summer. The dates for 2010 are:
June 3-5: Challenge A
June 10-12: Casa Nueva A
June 18-20: Casa Nueva B
July 26-30: Alpine A
July 31-August 4: Alpine B

While faculty and staff partners are integral to the success of the Frog Camp program, we recognize that participation goes above and beyond most job descriptions and as such is subject to the approval of supervisors.
