Mark Thistlethwaite lectures on Warhol

Art prof Mark Thistlethwaite

Mark Thistlethwaite, the Kay & Velma Kimbell Chair of Art History at TCU, in conjunction with the Pop art course he is teaching this semester and the Andy Warhol exhibition currently at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, will present four free public lectures.

 

 

Each lecture will take place in The Modern's auditorium on Wednesdays from 4 - 4:45 p.m. beginning this week. The schedule:

 

March 31 - Andy Warhol as Pop Artist

 

April 7 - Warhol's Alchemy: Advertising into Art into Advertising

 

April 14 - Mirror Images: The Warhol Look

 

April 21 - An Unending Fifteen Minutes: Warhol's Legacy
