As a "Yankee," what did you think about moving to Fort Worth to teach here 35 years ago?

 

It was much greener and more civilized than I thought it would be. Coming from Pennsylvania and receiving degrees from Penn State and Michigan State, I pictured Fort Worth as part of the untamed West with desert, horses and cowboys. My wife Karen and I were happy to see that Fort Worth and TCU were cosmopolitan and quite green.
