Schieffer School team tackles redesign of the TCU Daily Skiff
Published: 5/24/2010

The team redesigning the TCU Daily Skiff has established a blog to not only chronicle their eight-week assignment but also to invite the University community and others to give feedback and submit ideas on the project. The blog can be viewed at http://redesigntcuskiff.blogspot.com/.

Throughout May and June the team will update their progress on a regular basis, post images, links, polls and respond to comments left by visitors. Challenges for the group includes repackaging content from the traditional newspaper broadsheet to a tabloid, taking advantage of the more portable size, developing content, expanding community coverage and exploring display options.

The main redesign team includes: Robert Bohler, director of student publications; Libby Davis, news editorial major; Bitsy Faulk, business manager; Kayla Mezzell, news editorial major; Paige McArdle, news editorial major; Broc Sears, professional in residence for new media; Julie Susman, graphic design major; and Vicki Whistler, production manager.

In July and August, there will be occasional posts on preparation by staff and students leading up to the debut of the new TCU Daily Skiff. Anyone with questions can contact Broc Sears at: ext. 5052 or b.sears@tcu.edu.
