Published: 8/23/2010

TCU was ranked in the top 100 in U.S. News & World Report 2011 Edition of Best Colleges and in the top 20 in U.S. News & World Report’s Up & Coming National Universities. The exclusive rankings, available online at www.usnews.com/college, will also be published in the September issue of U.S. News & World Report, on newsstands Aug. 31.

The University is up in overall rankings from 110 in 2009, to 99 in 2010. This is the TCU’s first appearance in the Up & Coming National Universities list.

“We have been working hard on many fronts to demonstrate TCU’s excellence…superior total-university experience, new state-of-the-art facilities to support first rate academic programs, and major accomplishments in athletics too,”  said Chancellor Victor J. Boschini.  “TCU has also taken on new initiatives over the last year to be more involved with the leadership in higher education, and to help shape the future our entire enterprise. “

The 2011 Best Colleges feature the established rankings of the Best National Universities and Best National Liberal Arts Colleges, while also including rankings of A+ Schools for B Students, Great Schools at Great Prices, and Up-and-Coming Schools, among others.

In its 2011 edition of Best Business Schools,  U.S. News & World Report http://www.newsevents.tcu.edu/2095.asp lists the Neeley School of Business at TCU as tied for No. 88 out of 559 undergraduate business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools.

Each year, U.S. News surveys deans and senior faculty at each undergraduate business program accredited by the AACSB. Business school deans and faculty (two at each of the 559 AACSB-accredited business programs) were surveyed for this ranking in spring 2010; 42 % of those responded.

“We are very pleased to be recognized as one of the premier business programs in the country,” said O. Homer Erekson, John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School. “This recognition is a tribute to the accomplishments of our faculty and staff as they support outstanding teaching and research new ideas that impact the practice of business.”
