Art in the Metroplex, now in its 28th year, is on exhibit in the Moudy Gallery from now until Sept. 30. The juried exhibition showcases artists working in North Texas and is organized annually by TCU and the Templeton Art Center. This year’s juror is critically acclaimed New York artist Polly Apfelbaum whose work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art and other international collections.

 

Works by 190 artists were submitted to this year’s Art in the Metroplex and 38 pieces were selected.   Ms. Apfelbaum will speak at 2:30 p.m. during the Sept. 11 Gallery Night reception and winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m. The reception will continue until 8 p.m. For more information, phone ext. 7643.
