Dr. Keith Whitworth founded the Purple Bike program

The 3rd annual "Tour de Frogs" is this evening from 5 - 8 p.m. on the campus, offering students, faculty, staff and the community an opportunity to learn more about sustainable living and social justice issues from around the world. The Walk/Run/Ride event begins at the TCU Commons and continues around campus on a designated course.

Participants were encouraged to get sponsors to donate money based on how many laps they run/walk/ride. The money raised from the event will go toward the TCU Purple Bike Program as well as Habitat for Humanity. The Purple Bike Program offers students a bicycle to use around campus, complete with a basket and bell, as well as free maintenance.

Willing participants are encouraged to contact Keith Whitworth (Sociology & Anthropology), founder of the Purple Bike program, at k.whitworth@tcu.edu or phone him at  ext. 5941.
