Fine Arts will host “An Enchanted Evening” Thursday

CFA Gala

This year's College of Fine Arts Gala will be Thursday, Oct. 21 in the Brown-Lupton University Union,  starting with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:15 p.m. Focus of the evening will be a musical review featuring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Bright, young talents from the School of Music, School for Classical & Contemporary Dance and Dept. of Theatre make up the cast of entertainers.  Performing ensembles include the TCU Symphony Orchestra, TCU Concert Chorale, Steel Drum Band, as well as musical theatre and voice students. There also will be a silent auction of artwork created by School of Art faculty and pashminas from Design, Merchandising & Textiles. Proceeds from the fundraiser go toward enhancements within the departments that make up the College of Fine Arts and scholarships for its students.
 
Honorary Chairs are Marsland and Richard Moncrief and Chair is Priscilla Martin. On the TCU side, faculty involved in staging this production include Germán Gutierrez, John Giordano, Dennis Schrock, Brian A. West, Bobby Francis and Brian Youngblood (School of Music), Dian West (SCCD) LaLonnie Lehman, Michael Skinner, Harry Parker and Bill Eikenhoff (Theatre).
