Meet Nancy Brinker at the TCU Bookstore Wednesday

Nancy Brinker, sister of the late Susan G. Komen, founded the organization that bears her name

Nancy Brinker, CEO and founder of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will be at the TCU Bookstore from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday. The event is a booksigning for her memoir Promise Me, written as a tribute to her sister, the late Susan G. Komen who is the organization's namesake.  Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to ending breast cancer forever.

 

Attendees will include Mayor Mike Moncrief and his wife, Rosie;  Chris Del Conte, director of TCU Athletics; Kelsey Patterson, wife of Coach Gary Patterson; and TCU alumnus Tim Halperin will perform his song “We Fight Back.”  Also on hand will be the TCU Cheerleaders and SuperFrog.  The bookstore will serve pink refreshments in honor of "Breast Cancer Awareness Month."
