Contributions to this year’s United Way campus campaign total $125,244.78 in pledges from 689 donors.  And donations are continuing to trickle in, according to Nancy Styles (marketing and communication), campaign coordinator.  The total is approximately 6% over the announced $118,000 goal.

“I am proud to be a Horned Frog and of our tradition of contributing to the Fort Worth and Tarrant County community,” said Darron Turner, campaign chair.  “Frog faculty and staff, your contributions and support helped the University’s United Way campaign meet and exceed its goal of $118,000.  This affirms my belief that we see ourselves connected to a larger community.  Thank you for what you have done and continue to do in these tough economic times.”

Nancy also notes that $11,480 of the total was received from 39 retired faculty and staff.
