TCU Women's and Men's Programs and the "Feed Your Body & Soul Week" committee are co-sponsors of a kickoff luncheon featuring Abby Rike, former contestant on the hit television series "Biggest Loser."  The event, set for noon Monday, Feb. 21 at the Kelly Center is free to the first 150 faculty, staff and students to RSVP to Student Development Services at ext. 7855.

Rike will share her message of hope, inspiration and perseverance.  Having tragically lost her newborn, five-year-old and husband in a fatal car accident, Abby's story is powerful and has been featured on such TV shows such as Ellen and the Today show.  Her book, WORKING IT OUT, a Journey of Love, Loss, and Hope, will be out this May.

Monday, Feb. 28 — Dyadic training on body image and eating disorder concerns, details TBA

Tuesday, March 1 —Taste of TCU, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., BLUU

Wednesday, March 2 — Positive Body Image Chain, all day in the BLUU

Thursday, March 3 — Free nutrition assessments provided by the Nutrition Department, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., BLUU. (

Another Women's and Men's Programs event this month is the MENtality luncheon series event, designed to engage men in conversations about and for men.  It will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, in the BLUU ballroom. Khadevis Robinson, TCU alum, Olympian athlete, and eight-time USA National Champion 800m, will discuss, "How do you define success?"
