School of Art names new director

Sally Packard is returning to the TCU School of Art as its director

Sally Packard has been appointed director of the TCU School of Art, effective Aug. 1, 2011. She comes to TCU from Sage College of Albany, N.Y. where she has been chair of the Department of Visual Art since 2008. Prior to that she was an associate professor and Foundations coordinator at the University of North Texas in Denton.

A graduate of Regent’s College, State University of New York in Albany, Packard received her master’s of fine arts degree from TCU in 1997.  She has recently exhibited in Sweden, California, Chicago, Austin and Dallas.  She has also served on important panels for conferences of the College Art Association and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.”
