Last PianoTexas concert with Fort Worth Symphony and Leon Fleisher is Tuesday

Leon Fleisher will conduct the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the final Young Artists performance.

PianoTexas International Academy & Festival comes to an end Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. with a concert by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the legendary Leon Fleisher, onstage in Ed Landreth Auditorium.


This year marks the 30th anniversary of this signature musical event, founded by TCU piano professor Tamás Ungar.  In celebration of that milestone,  all 32 Beethoven sonatas have been performed during the course of PianoTexas.

Guests artists this year were John O’Conor, John Lill, Antti Siirala, Paul Badura-Skoda, Malcolm Bilson, Adam Golka, John Owings and Christopher Taylor.

  General admission for each concert is $25, $20 for seniors and music teachers, $12.50 for students.
