Nursing professor Debra McLachlan, who took up oil painting while battling chronic illness, added to her portfolio during art class in Nantucket this summer

An exhibition of paintings by Nursing professor Debra McLachlan will be on display today through Friday at Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences in Room 107 of the Bass Building, 2800 W. Bowie Street. There will be an opening reception from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. today.

Deb was diagnosed with a chronic illness several years ago and began painting as therapy and a stress reliever.  She discovered she had some real talent for oil painting and was invited to participate in an art class at Nantucket this summer.  This is her first art show.
