"Faculty & Friends" Chamber Music tonight at 7 p.m.

Cellist Jesús Castro-Balbi is director of the annual chamber music series.

The TCU School of Music invites you to "A Touch of Gold," the first concert in the Faculty & Friends Chamber Music Series for 2011-2012, tonight at 7 p.m. in PepsiCo Recital Hall.

 
Performers include Helen Blackburn (flute),
 Gary Whitman (clarinet),
 Charles Hall (bassoon), 
Jon Burgess and Colt Worley (trumpets),
 Alton Adkins and Heather Test, (horns), David Begnoche (trombone),
 Richard Murrow (tuba),
 Curt Thompson and Eugene Cherkasov (violins),
 Misha Galaganov (viola),
 Jesús Castro-Balbi (cello),
 Yuan-Xiong Lu (double-bass),
 Edith Widayani and David Yeomans (pianos) and TCU Chamber Brass. 
Stuart Cheney, William Gibbons and Timothy Watkins are program annotators

 
The program includes Quintet No. 1, op 73 by Malcolm Arnold, Quintet for Piano and Winds in C Minor, Op. 52 by Louis Spohr and Septet in E-flat major, Op. 65 by Camille Saint-Saëns.
