Published: 11/15/2011

Karen Blumenthal who writes The Wall Street Journal’s “Getting Going” column will be a visiting professor in the Schieffer School of Journalism during the Spring 2012 semester. TCU is one of four schools selected to receive visiting business journalism professors next spring under a $1.67 million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.

The others are Colorado State University, Grambling State University and the University of South Carolina.

The five-year program will ultimately create 11 visiting professorships at 11 different schools. It is administered through the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Blumenthal, who is the author of several business books and was formerly The Wall Street Journal’s Dallas bureau chief, will teach classes in business writing.
