Non-exempt staff taking TCU classes may apply for a need-based award
Published: 2/20/2012

Non-exempt staff currently enrolled in undergraduate courses at the University, and those considering enrolling, may apply for the Staff Award for Books and Fees. This award, sponsored by the Staff Assembly, may provide $45 per semester hour for a maximum of $250 per semester.

This need-based award was created about a decade ago through an endowment established by Staff Assembly and is supported through annual giving.  Funds are limited and preference is given to non-exempt staff who did not receive the award in the previous year.

Applicants must establish financial eligibility for the award by submitting the basic federal financial aid application at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The employee must be at least ¾-time and a TCU non-exempt staff member.  Recipients must be admitted to TCU as a degree seeking undergraduate student.

Applications for the award are available in the financial aid office (Sadler 2008) and are due by May 1.  You may contact the financial aid office for additional information at ext. 7858.
