Art History lecture this afternoon

Art historian Meredith Martin will discuss "Art, Diplomacy, and Empire in France from Louis XIV to the Revolution" at 5 p.m. Monday, March 26 in 132 Moudy Bldg. N. The event is sponsored by the School of Art and the Nancy Quarles Stuck Art History Lecture Fund.

 

Dr. Martin is assistant professor of art history at Wellesley College and the author of Dairy Queens: The Politics of Pastoral Architecture from Ctherine de' Medici to Marie-Antoinette (Harvard University Press, 2011). Her current research focuses on intercultural and artistic exchanges between France and India as well as Siam (Thailand) and the Ottoman Empire.
