Roadwork near TCU could impact your commute
Published: 3/26/2013

Ongoing work on the Chisholm Trail Parkway is expected to cause some disruption to traffic near the University in the coming weeks.  Among the projects that have recently begun, or soon will:

Eastbound Vickery Boulevard right-turn lane closure: Crews have closed the dedicated eastbound right-turn lane of Vickery Boulevard at University Drive to remove the small island median near that intersection. Once the work is complete, eastbound Vickery Boulevard near University Drive will be reduced to one lane. Motorists will be able to turn right, continue straight or turn left from the single lane. The traffic pattern is expected to last through mid-2014.

New traffic pattern at Rogers Road: Crews will close southbound Rogers Road south of Vickery Boulevard to traffic on April 9. Northbound Rogers Road will remain as one lane of traffic. Motorists traveling southbound on Rogers Road will be detoured via University Drive. This traffic pattern is expected to last through early May.

Periodic closures scheduled on northbound Hulen Street: Commuters traveling northbound on Hulen Street should expect periodic closures of the right northbound lane of Hulen Street

Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne.

The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in mid-2014.
