TCU Symphony concert tomorrow night

The four winners of this year’s School of Music Concerto Competition will perform with the TCU Symphony Orchestra Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Ed Landreth Auditorium. Conductor is Germán Gutiérrez.

 

The students are:
  •  Le Gao, cello, student of Jesús Castro-Balbi, who will perform Sinfonia Concertante for Cello and Orchestra, Opus 125  by Sergei Prokofiev, with You you Zhang, piano
 
  • David Walker, percussion, student of Richard Gipson and Brian West, who will perform O Angelos  by David Walker, with Taiko Pelick, piano

  • Misha Berestnev, piano, student of Tamás Ungár, who will perform Concerto No.1 in B-flat minor, Opus 23, First Movement by Pyotr Iiyich Tchaikovsky

  • Evan Mitchell, piano, student of José Feghali, who will perform Concerto No.1 in D-flat Major, Opus 10 by Sergei Prokofiev

The event is free and open to the public.
