Host new friends at a TCU Family Dinner Aug. 18
Published: 6/11/2012

Student Affairs is asking faculty and staff to join in the TCU Family Dinner program, a new tradition begun last fall as first year students arrived on campus. Called Frogs First, this year’s cohort-based experience will include a dinner event from 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at a faculty/staff home.

Each group will have two upperclass student leaders and between 20 to 25 new students. The supplies (including meal, beverages, and paper goods) for Family Dinners will be provided by Sodexo and brought to the home by the student leaders.  All that is required of a host is a welcoming space and friendly face. You don't have to have seating for all students; floor space, porch, yard, etc. will do.

If you have additional questions regarding space needs, logistics, acceptable distance from TCU, etc, contact Brett Phillips at brett.phillips@tcu.edu or phone ext. 5237. There may be TCU colleagues not a part of our relationship circles who would be excited to host new students in their home.

Colleagues who are interested in hosting but may not have space are encouraged to co-host with colleagues.
