NIcholas Carr, author of this year's Common Reading, will discuss his work as the fall semester opens Aug. 20.

The Center for International Studies:  TCU Abroad and The Frost Foundation will present a talk by Nicholas Carr, best-selling author of The Shallows:  What the Internet is Doing to Our Brain at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20 in the BLUU ballroom.

 

The event is free and open to the community, with reservations available beginning today at www.studyabroad.tcu.edu.

 

Carr’s book is this year’s Common Reading and was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize as well as a New York Times bestseller. The author, a former executive editor of the Harvard Business Review, writes and speaks on technology, business, culture and economics. His latest book is titled Building Bridges: Essays on Business Technology and Innovation.
