Dr. Mark Thistlewaite of the TCU School of Art

Mark Thistlethwaite, the Kay and Velma Kimbell Chair of Art History in the TCU School of Art, is currently presenting a series of free, public talks at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.

 

They are held from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays in the ACMAA auditorium. Theme of the series is "American Art's Changing Modes and Contexts, 1750-1960."

 

The series is offered in conjunction with a TCU course for undergraduate and graduate students, focusing on works in the ACMAA's collections, as well as a special exhibition of American Art from the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., which will open at the museum in early October.
