The TCU School for Classical & Contemporary Dance will host the 4th annual Texas Dance Improvisation Festival Oct. 4-6 in Erma Lowe Hall. SCCD’s Nina Martin and Sarah Newton are coordinating the event.

TDIF celebrates improvisational dance in Texas and beyond, coming together as dance/music artists to share, inspire and challenge our improvising arts community. More than 150 dancers are expected for classes, performances and jams with well-known teachers from Texas and beyond.

Featured guest artist is Ray Chung, a performer, teacher, engineer, and artist, whose dance-making is focused in improvisational methods. Chung is a master teacher of Contact Improvisation with an international reputation.
