Faculty & Friends Chamber Music tonight

The School of Music invites you to "Bach to America," the second concert in the Faculty & Friends Chamber Music Series for 2012-2013, tonight, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. in PepsiCo Recital Hall.

 

Performers include Angela Turner Wilson (soprano), Pam Adams (flute), Jon Burgess (trumpet), Heather Test (horn), David Begnoche (trombone), Joe Eckert (saxophone), Gloria Lin and John Owings (piano), Joe Butler (harpsichord), Eugene Cherkasov, Arkady Fomin and Ivo Ivanov (violins), Laura Bruton, Misha Galaganov and Julian Tello (viola), Stuart Cheney and Christopher Philpott (viola da gamba), Jesús Castro-Balbi and Xiaolai Zhou (cello), William Gowen (bass) and Collegium Musicum.

The program includes:

Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B-flat Major, BWV 1051 - Johann Sebastian Bach
Piano Quartet, Op. 23 - Arthur Foote
Trio for Brass - Lauren Bernofsky
How Slow the Wind - Osvaldo Golijov
Lúa Descolorida - Osvaldo Golijov
Blood Lines - Martin Blessinger
