Cellofest brings outstanding musicians to campus this week

The annual TCU Cellofest, featuring some of the foremost cellists and chamber musicians in the country, will unfold on campus Thursday through Saturday.

 

The event includes masterclasses, concerts, cello choirs and concerto competition with prizes and performances. Jesús Castro-Balbi (School of Music) is artistic director of the event. All are free to attend with a TCU ID.

 

Cello faculty and ensembles attending include those from Yale University, Boston Conservatory, UT/Austin, UNT, Beijing Central Conservatory, Baylor University, California State University, Berlin, Finland, and many more.

 

Ticket prices:

Evening concerts: $20/$10/free with TCU ID

Afternoon concerts: $10/$5/free with TCU ID

All-access badge: $40
