Lisa Albert named Director of Communications


Tracy Syler-Jones, Vice Chancellor for Marketing & Communication, has announced that Lisa Albert has been promoted to Director of Communications in the Office of Communications. She will oversee media relations for TCU, having shown proven ability and skill in guiding the institution through various media challenges.

 

She also has been instrumental in securing visibility for many of TCU’s key programs and schools/colleges. Lisa already is establishing herself as a well-known figure on campus and, this semester, is teaching a class on branding through Extended Education. She also offers strategic marketing and communication services to colleges and centers at the university including AddRan College of Liberal Arts, Ranch Management, administration and acts as a liaison to the athletic department.

 

Additionally, Lisa communicates updates within the campus community on campus construction, assists in management of social media sites, is in charge of the hometown news program and oversees the News & Events Web site. She has been in the industry locally for 10 years and has experience in agency, non-profit and higher education organizations.

 

Lisa earned a B.S. degree in journalism, advertising/public relations sequence from TCU and a master of science degree in strategic communication from TCU’s Schieffer School of Journalism.
