Free Rape Aggression Defense classes offered Nov. 21-22


If you are a female member of TCU faculty, staff or a student, you are eligible to attend the free Rape Aggression Defense classes sponsored by TCU Police. Female family members also are welcome to register, but class size is limited to 30 participants.

 

RAD is a comprehensive program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques for women that begins with risk reduction, prevention, personal safety and threat assessment skills. The curriculum progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training.

 

Classes are held over a two-day period, with the next session scheduled for 1 - 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21-22, in the University Recreation Center classroom #44 on the first day, Special Events Gym on the second day. Workbooks and other materials are provided. You must be able to commit to both days to be eligible for the class.
