TCU Business Network, Dallas, presents Nolan Ryan


Nolan Ryan, president of the Texas Rangers, will be the featured speaker at the TCU Business Network of Dallas on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Intercontinental Dallas. The event is presented by the Neeley School of Business at TCU and the TCU Alumni Association for TCU alumni, friends, family, and the Dallas business community. The lunch will be hosted by O. Homer Erekson, John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business at TCU.

 

 

National Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan oversees all baseball and business operations for the Texas Rangers. Named the 10th president of the team in 2008, Ryan is committed to providing the best fan experience and making the Rangers a strong community partner. Ryan's pedigree as one of the greatest pitchers in major league history has influenced the Rangers to develop and refine their pitching philosophies, which incorporate Nolan's trademarks of conditioning, hard work, good mechanics, focus, and mental toughness. The 62-year-old Ryan was previously affiliated with the Rangers for nearly 15 years as a player and special assistant.

 

 

Cost to attend the TCU Business Network of Dallas event is $30 per person for TCU alumni, parents and friends. TCU young alumni, those who graduated between 1999 and 2009, can attend for $25 per person. A table of eight can be purchased for $300.
