Luminex CEO is Neeley speaker Feb. 16


Patrick Balthrop, president and CEO of the Luminex Corporation will join Homer Erekson (dean, Neeley School) on stage for the Tandy Executive Speaker Series, Tuesday, Feb. 16, 7:30 a.m. in Brown-Lupton University Union ballroom.

 

 

Balthrop joined Luminex as president and CEO in 2004. Luminex develops, manufactures and markets innovative biological testing technologies with applications throughout the life science and diagnostic industries. Previously, Balthrop was president of Fisher HealthCare, and from 1981-2002, he held leadership positions at Abbott Laboratories.

 

 

Balthrop has a successful track record as an innovator, product developer and business leader during his 30-year career in the healthcare industry. His experience ranges from relations with government agencies and regulators worldwide, to research and development, and implementation of unique corporate governance initiatives. He has directed the commercialization of revolutionary products that save healthcare costs while enhancing patient outcomes.
