Frogs for the Cure video is a YouTube favorite

Two weeks after the Frogs for the Cure breast cancer awareness events at the TCU-Wyoming game, it’s becoming evident that the 5-minute video shown during halftime has gone viral and shows signs of hitting the big time on YouTube.

The upbeat montage features 40 campus groups (from groundskeepers and star athletes to resident assistants and Bookstore staff) dancing and cavorting with pink beach balls to a song composed and recorded by recent TCU graduate Tim Halperin. He titled the tune “We Fight Back” and has released it on iTunes, donating his portion of the download profits to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Produced and directed by Ann Louden (Chancellor’s Office), the video splices together lively scenes of 1,400 members of the TCU community in various chorus line routines choreographed by Suki Johns (School of Classical & Contemporary Dance). The credits are too numerous to mention but are scrolled during the final seconds.

If you weren’t at the football game or haven’t had a chance to view the charming footage of your TCU colleagues, here’s a chance to see what you’ve missed:
